British comedian Russell Brand has reached a settlement in his phone smashing case it’s been announced!
Brand was facing a charge of misdemeanor criminal damage to property in relation to an incident involving a paparazzo’s phone back in March 2012.
The star’s lawyer pleaded not guilty on his behalf in New Orleans, with both sides later agreeing a deal.
The case will be dismissed if Brand pays $500 in court fees and takes part in 20 hours of community service.
His attorney said that his client will complete his community service by working with people fighting addiction.
