Yes we realise we’re about a week late with the best wishes, but it has taken us this long to get over 2011 and take in all that we have accomplished and witnessed!! Looking back on last year we travelled around our 15 counties in style and took in a few memories along the way.. most memorable was the iRadio Chicken Dance, while we were busy making people dance like chickens all over the country, the radio industry sat up and took notice, which ended with iRadio taking the gold award for best station promotion at the PPI Radio awards in October!! So thank you to all our mad chicken dancers around the West, Midlands and East you made our year!!!
iRadio also featured at last years Oxegen Festival!! What a weekend we had… we met wonderful people and bands such as our friends the Script 
(we’re best buds now), Bressie (oh so hot), The Coronas, Saw Doctors, The Kanyu Tree to name but a few! We tackled the mud and the rain and had probably one of the best weekends of the year. Most memorable performaces were, Beyonce, Coldplay, The Script and of course the Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl – Drool) We survived the weekend in true festival style and live to tell the tale
We have been known to throw a rager or two and this year was no different! We had two Full Moon Listener Parties, Pure Nightclub, Sligo and Rapture, Enfield, to end the summer in style!! What a night we are still washing the body paint out of our hoodies!! The next two to follow were our Monster Mash Ball, INK Nightclub, Letterkenny and Vanity Nighclub, Carrickmacross. Another two fantastic venues and more mad capped listeners, this time dressed up to scare the bejesus out of us The final two of the year were not too long ago, the Jingle Ball found its way to, Club 360, Carrick on Shannon and Time Nightclub and Venue, Naas – What a way to end the year with sexy santa dancers and loads of Xmas merriment. Thanks to all you guys who travelled to each venue and event this year, we really do look forward to meeting all our fantastically crazy listeners at these events

We had many many more events such as our Arthurs Day Celebrations in Monroes Live Venue in Galway another great gig from our iDJ’s. Then came iRocks which seen bands across the region battle it out to win the bloody brilliant prize of, time in full tilt recording studios, support gig in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar and equipment from xmusic.ie, all in all not a bad prize to win, if your a band! Come October we had our finalists and they went head to head at the finale in the Royal Theatre. By the end of the night we had our winners, Dublin based band, Jet Set Radio!! All bands were fantastic, but like the Xfactor, we can only have one winner Well done to everyone who took part it was yet another great night for us!!
Think they’re the main highlights of 2011, we, of course had a ball and are refreshed and ready to do it all over again in 2012!! Bring on the parties Cant wait to meet ya all on our travels around the country. If you ever see us don’t forget to flash (headlights only please ) or honk!!!
