Apparently President Obama treated the First Lady to dinner at pricey restaurant Vermilion where plates of caviar, beef and chocolate truffle tarts were on offer for Valentine’s Day.
The president was photographed arriving at the Alexandria, Virginia restaurant at 7.30 p.m. – although wife Michelle was nowhere to be seen.
It is believed they enjoyed the restaurant’s lavish Valentine’s menu, which included lobster tortelloni, beef with truffle jus and passion fruit cheesecake.
The four-course menu costs $75 for one person!
The expensive treat came after Obama made an announcement on Tuesday morning reminding men to spoil their partners. ’Let me start with a quick public service announcement for all the gentlemen out there,’ he said. ‘Today is Valentine’s Day’.
Last year, the First Lady divulged that Obama, who is ‘very romantic’ was good at remembering the special occasion.
