Ladies Gaelic Football– it’s a sport played by thousands of women the length and breadth of Ireland and a growing international presence.

They take their sport seriously, train just as hard their male counterparts make the same sacrifices in pursuit of success, but are they taken seriously?

Women’s sport in general isn’t taken seriously by everyone, and Lidl want to help change that.

All Ladies Gaelic Footballers need is what every other athlete needs…Support.

So, over the next three years, Lidl promises to establish #SeriousSupport for Ladies Gaelic Football.

Lidl are proud to partner with the Ladies Gaelic Football Association but they want to go further than just being a sponsor.

Lidl will…

  • Raise awareness of Ladies Gaelic Football, its players and women in sport across the country.
  • Invest €1.5 million in the first year alone.
  • Be the biggest supporter of women’s sport in the country.
  • Provide finances and resources to support clubs across the country.

Lidl are also helping to ‘Kit Out’ post-primary schools, and you can help by nominating your school the next time you’re in your local Lidl store.

Schools could win a full set of team jerseys, 10 footballs, kit bag, ball pump, cones, bibs and water bottles!
