A status red weather warning has been issued for counties Galway and Clare.
The alert will be in place from 1pm on Saturday, while there’s a status orange warning for the rest of the country tomorrow.
Crisis management teams across the country have been activated to deal with the conditions, with winds of up to 145kmph an hour expected.
The National Emergency Co-ordination group has met and is advising people to keep an eye on neighbours, stay away from the coast and take extra care on the roads. The emergency group has also advised drivers to take extra care and says we should all charge our phones in case of an emergency.
It’s the third storm of the month – with wet and windy weather expected in most areas. More rain is also due tonight, meaning it’ll be an anxious few days for communities where there’s a risk of flooding.
