Some good news on the jobs front

600 jobs are being created by Aldi Ireland this year.

The positrons will come on stream in stores across the country.

The breakdown includes nearly 150 jobs in Dublin, over 80 in Galway, 45 in Donegal, up to 14 in Laois and Offaly and up to 32 in Carlow and Kilkenny.

The company have also opened a new corporate office in Naas, Co. Kildare with 41 jobs created to boot.

Over the next 3 years, 30 new supermarkets will be opened as part of a 320 million euro investment

The company says it will also increase its hourly pay rates from February 1st, to reflect the Living Wage rate of 12 euro 90 per hour.
