A kitten is serving with Michigan police.
The female cat is the newest member of Troy Police Department.
Pawfficer Donut, a rescue kitten, is working in the feline unit.

She was asked to raise her right paw as she was officially sworn in after a successful interview.
Pawfficer Donut will be used to help raise awareness for pet adoptions and rescues. She will also interact with people in the community and on social media.
Speaking to MLive.com, Chief Gary Mayer said:
“We are using social media to engage the public that we serve and to get the message out that police are human too, and we want to show we have a side of us that is beyond law enforcement.”
