A Cosmopolitan magazine cover featuring plus-size models has been accused of ‘glamourising’ obesity amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The cover of the February issue stars plus-size women with the tagline ‘This is healthy’ for an edition dedicated to body positivity.
Gillian McKeith, Nutritionist and Dietetic specialist, TV presenter and author, says being obese is not healthy.
She’s said that while anyone who is on a “healthy path” should be commended and no one should be shamed for their body size, this cover “goes very close to the line of normalising obesity.”
It’s sparked quite a debate online.
If @piersmorgan did his research properly & not pull out news to make himself look interesting & controversial he would of seen that @Cosmopolitan had different covers of women of different sizes & the article is about celebrating woman of all sizes!!!
