These should keep you suitably entertained for your grocery trips!
It doesn’t matter if you’re only going down the road for some messages, even the shortest of drives should be entertaining.
We’re mad about music at iRadio, and nothing makes a spin in the car hit different like some quality bangers.
Whether your singing along or jamming out, we’ve teamed up with Cavan Credit Union to provide you with our Top 10 tunes to boost your mood while you’re driving.
In no particular order:
1. Lizzo – Good As Hell
If you’re not feeling good as hell by the time you reach your destination, you haven’t played this loud enough.
Lizzo has such a talent for making you feel like a boss.
2. Tiesto – Business
Tiesto has been on the scene for so many years at this point, and he’s still putting out bangers.
Business is one of his latest offerings, and a great bop for the car.
3. Taylor Swift – Shake It Off
A bit of T-Swizzle never hurt anyone.
This is a particularly catchy offering, to lift the spirits on the road.
4. Mickey Harte – We’ve Got The World
Our very own Mickey Joe.
This is one of the defining tunes of a generation for Irish people.
Crank the volume up and belt out that iconic chorus!
5. Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag
Another irresistible singalong.
First released in the year 2000, Wheatus (not to be confused with the similarly named chocolate cereal) really knocked it out of the park with this banger.
It’s still just as much of a banger as it was twenty one years ago!
6. The Killers – Mr. Brightside
Everyone knows it, everyone loves it.
If your stick this on for your run to the shop, you’ll definitely still be singing it over in your head at the checkouts.
7. Florence and The Machine – Dog Days are Over
A little more ethereal than the other suggestions, but this classic from Florence and the Machine is such a tune!
This one is particularity good as the days get longer and summer arrives.
8. The Cranberries – Dreams
Thrust back into the spotlight by the success of Derry Girls.
Any good driving playlist should always contain The Cranberries!
9. The Script – Breakeven
Another Irish band we can’t help but sing along to.
Breakeven is one of those songs where you know you can’t hit the high note, but it doesn’t stop you trying.
10. Mark McCabe – Maniac 2000
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH
We couldn’t end without mentioning the ultimate banger from our very own Mark McCabe.
You might opt to skip past this on your playlist if you’re in more of a mellow mood – but that doesn’t mean Maniac 2000 doesn’t deserve a place on the list!
Because one day, you’ll be particularly full of beans – and when you get into your car on that day, this song will scratch the itch.
