The vehicle is owned by a woman from Northern Ireland.

The 39 people who were found dead in a lorry in Essex yesterday are understood to be Chinese nationals.

Gardaí are investigating the movements of a truck where the bodies were discovered.

Essex Police have confirmed the fatalities included 31 men and 8 women.

The vehicle is owned by a woman from Northern Ireland and the 25 year old driver from Armagh is being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Crime Editor with the Irish Sun Stephen Breen said the truck is registered to a business in Dublin.

''It's registered in a woman's name and shes from North Armagh but she does have connection in Dublin where the company is registered'', he said.

''But also her husband is behind the business as well and the lorry driver was a close associate of her husband and they worked very closely with him.

''So that'll be part of the Garda investigation as well and the main focus will be trying to establish the movements of this truck.''

Arrested, 25-year-old Mo Robinson.

Essex police are questioning the truck driver, Mo Robinson, 25, and he has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

His parents have flown to England to support their son. It’s understood he is also about to become a father of twins.
