‘Cinderella’ starring Camila Cabello will skip cinemas.
The latest take on the fairytale got delayed due to the pandemic.
‘Cinderella’, starring Camila Cabello is not hitting cinemas due to Covid-19 retrictions.
It was due to go to the big screen in July.
The movie musical comes from the studio Sony, who made a deal with Amazon Prime.
It’s not the first Sony film to go to a streaming service rather than cinemas.
The movie studio sold animated musical ‘Vivo’ and Kevin Hart family drama ‘Fatherhood’ to Netflix.
It’ll be singer Camila Cabello’s acting debut.
We’re excited because it’s a musical meaning we get to hear more from the singer!
It’ll have a mixture of pop songs from contemporary artists and original songs by Cabello herself.
‘Wicked’ superstar Idina Menzel is playing her evil stepmother.
Also amoung the cast is Pierce Brosnan as King Rowan.
‘Cinderella’ has been adapted for film on numerous occasions, particularly by Disney.
There’s the 1950 animated classic movie, the 2015 live-action reboot with Lily James, and the 1997 TV movie starring Brandy and Whitney Houston.
No release date has been announced for this adaptation yet.
