Make-A-Wish Ireland is sending a big thank you to people across the country after confirming that it has reached its fundraising target of €80,000.

The charity, which grants wishes for children with life threatening illnesses, was supposed to hold its flagship fundraiser ‘Wish Day’ earlier this month.

However it obviously had to cancel its onstreet collections because of the coronavirus crisis, so instead it held a virtual Wish Day.

Make-A-Wish Ireland says it is absolutely delighted with the result of the initiative and it will be able to continue to help make dreams come true for hundreds of children around the country.

It has also shared this special message from wish child Molly.
