Brace yourselves...

Each year for the past 258 years, Old Moore’s Almanac makes predictions for the upcoming year.

The magazine was founded by Theophilus Moore, a Latin and Greek teacher who ran a classical academy in Dublin.

This year, they reckon Ireland will experience a wide range of extreme weather events.

That includes a landslide, a giant wave, an earthquake, a heatwave, a drought and a huge dump of snow, according to the Irish Examiner.

As well as that, they're predicting further house prices hikes - as if we needed them going any higher.

Beyond 2022, they reckon we'll get our first female Taoiseach within the next 3 years.

They've also predicted some things in the sporting world.

Notably, they say Limerick will be hurling All-Ireland champions while Dublin will take home the Sam Maguire.

In the wider world, there's predictions in that Europe will experience item shortages.

Oh and they reckon there'll be another pandemic, unrelated to the one we're currently suffering through...

In technology, there's to be amazing advances in medical tech.

While we're apparently going to merge ourselves with technology so much so that it becomes part of our biology - whatever that means.

And long-distance relationships may benefit from the future too.

As virtual sex will become very realistic with new equipment, that's what is being reported anyway.

In celeb news, there may be marriage turmoil on the cards for Meghan and Harry.
