If you have children, you might have given them a loan of your iPad to watch a movie on, or play a game. Maybe they even have their own iPad?
It’s a surefire way to get some peace and quiet.
However, one dad got more than he bargained for when he gave his son the loan of his iPad.
Journalist Evan Osnos gave his three year old son the iPad to play with. However, when his son handed it back, there was a countdown of 25 and a half million minutes on it.
Uh, this looks fake but, alas, it’s our iPad today after 3-year-old tried (repeatedly) to unlock. Ideas? pic.twitter.com/5i7ZBxx9rW

That means the iPad was locked for a full 47 years. Ouch.
The internet reacted appropriately:
Reboot your 3 y.o.

Wait till he’s 50

He also got some genuine replies with useful information to help fix it.
Turns out a hard reset did the trick. Phew!
