The total number of cases on the island of Ireland now stands at 769.
The Department of Health has confirmed 126 new cases of COVID-19 in the Republic of Ireland today.
The total number of people now infected with the virus in the Republic is now 683.
Nine new Covid-19 cases were also announced in Northern Ireland today, meaning there are now 769 cases on the island of Ireland
More than half of all confirmed cases of Covid-19 are in Dublin (222 out of 438 up to Wednesday).
The counties with the next highest figures are Cork (66) and Limerick (15), the average age of those diagnosed is 44.
Monaghan remains the only county with no recorded cases of coronavirus.

So far, 40% of cases are community transmission, 21% are from contact with a confirmed case, 39% are related to travel and the remainder are still under investigation.
Around one in four of those who have Covid-19 in Ireland are healthcare workers.
