Dublin Airport has revised its advice to passengers queuing for flights.

It now says that intending passengers should arrive two hours in advance of a short-haul flight, and three hours ahead of a long-haul flight.

Passengers who have to check in a bag should allow additional time of up to an hour.

Previously the advice was two and a half hours, and three and a half hours respectively.

The DAA says there have been no significant security challenges in June, July or August, and it has added that "no passengers have missed flights in these three months that heeded our advice."
