A spokesperson for a campaign to change the nightlife in Ireland says that nightclubs should be able to stay open until 6am.

Justice Minister is set to announce plans which would extend the opening hours of pubs and clubs.

The move was announced as a potential bolster to night-life businesses, when they’re allowed to reopen after the pandemic.

The proposed legislation would also include the scrapping of a fee of over 400 euro which pubs and nightclubs have to pay to stay open late.

Spokesperson for Give Us The Night, Sunil Sharpe, says that clubs should be able to set their own closing time.
