It means pubs will be closed until at least August 10th.

The country will not be moving to phase four of the easing of Coronavirus restrictions on Monday.

It means pubs will not be able to re-open until August 10th while the number of people who can visit a home will be limited to 10 from no more than four households.

Limits on large public gatherings are also going to remain in place until the 10th of August.

The government will publish a green list of countries people can visit on holidays on Monday – but is still recommending against doing so.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the mandatory use of face-masks is being extended.

The news comes as two more people with Covid-19 have died in the Republic and 14 new cases have been reported.

The death toll from the disease here now stands at 1,748. The 14 more people that have tested positive for coronavirus means the total number of cases now stands at 25,683.

The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said the country is now at a sensitive stage of the pandemic and is encouraging people to continue to be vigilant in the fight against the disease.
