Outdoor dining is here to stay for the summer season.

The Government has approved plans to extend the Covid measure for pubs and restaurants for another six months.

Introduced last July, the temporary laws were brought in to allow pubs and restaurants serve alcohol on the street in designated seating areas.

It expires on May 31st but is now set to be extended until the end of November.

Justice Minister Helen McEntee says many hospitality businesses are struggling and it’s important they’re given help to thrive.
