When you go for a dip in the frigid Atlantic, there are only a handful of ways to help yourself adjust to the water.

It’s one of the more questionable methods that could now land you in trouble, if you happen to be on holidays in Spain.

Going for a pee in the sea could soon set you back €750 in one Spanish resort.

New rules in the coastal city of Vigo in Galicia mean that anyone caught urinating in public faces stiff new fines.

The city’s updated beach regulations also state that ‘physiological evacuations’ in the sea or at the beach will be considered an infraction of health and safety laws.
