Penneys has announced it is going to offer a shopping by appointment service.

The retailer says it will be a temporary measure in all of its Irish stores in the week before the full reopening of retail.

The retail sector can re-open on May 17th.

Penneys says it has started working on the logistics, by bringing its team back to work and it will confirm timing and full details next week.

Earlier it was reported that queues had formed at some Primark stores in Northern Ireland, where restrictions on retail, pubs and restaurants have been relaxed today.
