Penneys’ sister store, Primark is trialing an online shopping service.

Associated British Foods (ABF), which owns the retailer, is launching a click and collect trial on children’s products, Tyla.com report.

This trial is set to take place in up to 25 Primark stores towards the end of this year. The shops undergoing the trial are located in the north west of England and will include about 2,000 items.

If the trial is successful, bosses plan to roll out the click and collect service on children’s clothing across the UK.

Chief executive at Primark, Paul Marchant said:

“We’ve chosen to trial the new service in a region where we have a wide range of stores of different sizes and formats and we can’t wait to see the customer response.”
