A restaurant owner in Co Kerry says he is opening his restaurant in July and is prepared to be arrested if needs be.

Paul Treyvaud says if he is not open by then everything he has worked for is gone.

Although that ultimatum is still four months away, it’s still unclear when hospitality is set to be allowed reopen.

To further add to the uncertainty, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said during the week that our current lockdown may not be our last.

But Paul who owns Treyvaud’s Restaurant in Killarney says he is opening no matter what.

He says the government ‘have lost’ the people of Ireland and he needs to take a stance.
