Louise Clarke caught up with Noel Gibbons fromthe Mayo County Council so speak about their upcoming road safety road show.

This is an annual event that Mayo CoCo Road Safety Department run, usually in a hotel but with the current restrictions it will be online.

It is being held next Thursday the 22nd April at 11am.

It will begin with a guy  getting his driving licence and subsequently crashing. They then talk to a member of the gardai, fire service, a paramedic, an A & E consultant, about their involvement immediately following an RTA and a crash survivor and a family member of a crash victim speak candidly to the audience.

 This is to show young people the devastating effect of driving carelessly and what can happen to them and the impact on people around them, those helping at the scene to their family and friends. People must register for the event which is FOC
