Gardaí say an incident at a Roscommon school which led to an evacuation this morning was a hoax.
700 students and staff at St Nathy’s secondary school in Ballaghaderreen were forced to leave the building after they received a “suspicious” phone call.
Gardaí say a decision was made to not have pupils present while the incident was being investigated.
Parents received a text message at 8:30am asking them to collect their children as the school was closing.
