What a brilliant opportunity for young musicians.

Did you know that Ireland is the first, and only, country in the world to have a national day of free creativity for children and young people under 18?

Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people.

The inaugural Cruinniú na nÓg took place on 23rd June 2018 with over 500 events taking place in cities, towns and villages across the country.

This year we can’t say we haven’t had time to hone our creative skills and one of the first initiatives of this year’s Cruinniu na nÓg, is an Open Mic Night.

This is a super opportunity for up and coming musicians to showcase their work and when a recording session in the world class Golden Egg Studios is up for grabs that’ll get the creative juices flowing.

Music Generation Laois in association with Creative Ireland Laois are looking for young musicians from across the country to submit a video of their original music songs /tunes /compositions /raps or electronic music.

The deadline for entries is 5pm, Friday 29 May, 2020.

The aim is to receive as many videos as possible to create an amazing celebration of upcoming talent and original music.  On the 13th of June the videos that match the criteria below will be compiled and live-streamed on the Online Open Mic night.
