The Health Minister has indicated 4 million people could be vaccinated against Covid-19 by the end of September.
Stephen Donnelly has sent updated projections saying 7.5 million doses should arrive between April and the end of September.
A decision is due at the end of the month on the Astrazenca vaccine.
It’s seen as the gamechanger, as it doesn’t have to be stored at ultra-cold temperatures.
Immunology Professor Luke O’Neill says it can also be administered much quicker the the Pfizer BioNTech alternative.
