Met Éireann issues weather warning for 18 counties, with spot flooding 'likely'

The warning is valid from 7pm on Thursday until 7am on Friday.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Leinster and Munster, for tomorrow and Friday.

The national forecaster is saying heavy rain will spread from the south on Thursday evening.

Accumulations of 25 to 40 millimetres will occur over a relatively short period of time and spot flooding is likely.

The warning is valid from 7pm on Thursday until 7am on Friday.
