Spot flooding, sleet and snow are expected in parts.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow, Offaly and Tipperary.

The warning was issued at 7am on Wednesday, 13 November and will remain in place until 2am on Thursday, 14 November.

It forecasts that the seven affected counties should expect to see "a spell of heavy rain" which will "lead to some spot flooding and will turn to sleet and snow in places later today".

In other words... it's going to be a proper winters day, stay warm!
