It’s also been confirmed that over 70s will be vaccinated from next month.
There has been a further 1,372 Covid-19 cases, the lowest daily figure since the end of December.
A further 7 deaths have also been recorded.
The number of people in hospital with the virus now stands at 1,905, while 219 are in ICUs.
Elsewhere, the government has confirmed that people aged over 70 and older will start being vaccinated against Covid-19 from next month.
The delivery will begin with those aged 85 years and older and will be administered initially through GPs in their surgeries.
143,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered so far.
Deliveries of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be within the expected range for February, but the government expects considerably lower amounts to be delivered in March.
