Bambie Thug says they're receiving a lot of support from their Eurovision family, as they deal with negative comments.

They'll represent Ireland, with the song 'Doomsday Blue', at the first of the semi-finals in Sweden tonight.

The event will broadcast on RTÉ One at 8pm.

There have been calls for Ireland to boycott this year's song contest in Malmo, over Israel's participation and the war in Gaza.

RTE and the European Broadcasting Union have been criticised for televising the event.

Bambie says they're focusing on their performance and that they're trying to "remain in their bubble" ahead of the contest.

They say fans should express their concerns to the organisers instead of "bullying" performers.
