It's rated higher than Game of Thrones after just three episodes.

Sky Atlantic's new mini-series Chernobyl has only been running for thee weeks, but already it's taken the world by storm.

Even though the majority of the audience knows exactly what's going to happen, the show is a tension filled, grim masterpiece.

And viewers agree, already it has a higher rating on IMDb than Planet Earth 2, Breaking Bad and Game Of Thrones with 9.5% out of 10.

While over on Rotten Tomatoes, Chernobyl holds a rating of 96%.

The show relives the 1986 nuclear meltdown in exquisite detail and really drives home just how close the continent of Europe and perhaps even more of the planet came to catastrophic disaster.

The only drawback of the show? It's only got 5 episodes.

But the best shows are always the ones that leave you wanting more... Unlike the ones who overstay their welcome *cough Game of Thrones *cough.
