The winter series could be in jeopardy.

Love Islands planned winter series could be in jeopardy.

According to The Daily Star, bosses are being urged to reconsider using Cape Town as the location due to rising crime rates.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has reportedly deployed troops in the area to try to reduce violence.

According to reports, locals say gangs are to blame for drug and alcohol-fuelled violence.

At present, ITV have not commented on whether or not they will change the shooting location.

The winter series of Love Island, presented by Caroline Flack, is set to return to our screens in January.
