The boyband served up a big slice of shade.

Brian Littrell and his wife Leighanne celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary over the weekend, but the Backstreet Boys singer used the happy occasion to poke fun at rival boy band NSYNC.

A photo on Instagram shows the couple celebrating with cake at a restaurant, but the special message written in syrup on Brian's plate says "NSYNC SUCKS".

In the 90s, Backstreet Boys and NSYNC were the Oasis and Blur of the pop world.

Their fierce rivalry was created by their own record label. Two years after founding the Backstreet Boys, boss Lou Pearlman formed NSYNC - pitting the two groups against each other.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2000, Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson said:

"It’s not NSYNC itself but where NSYNC comes from that digs me, digs me, digs me – and gets me, still to this day."

"We’ll always remember him (Pearlman) for helping us get started. But we’ll also remember him for screwing us blind and building another group behind our backs."

Has Brian reignited the feud?!
