Beyonce, Jay-Z and Ed Sheeran are among the acts performing at a special event, marking 100 years since the birth of Nelson Mandela.

The gig in Johannesburg this December is free, but you can only earn a ticket by doing voluntary work.

Also on the line up are Usher, Pharrel Williams and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

The Mandela 100 Festival is the showcase event in the Global Citizen's year-long 'Be the Generation' campaign, inspired by Nelson Mandela's call for us to be the generation who end extreme poverty.

At the event, artists will be joined by 100,000 Global Citizens who have taken action on the Global Citizen social advocacy platform to earn their free tickets to the festival at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
