Ed Sheeran's been accused of having "a total disregard to the local ecology" as he plans to build a wedding chapel in his garden.
The singer-songwriter lodged plans for the chapel at his Sussex home after announcing his engagement to Cherry Seaborn.
But his dream could be halted by something living in his garden pond - newts!
Objectors say building work would destroy a collection of great crested newts in the pond.
The Sun reports a "full ecological survey" has been demanded as the pond at Ed’s mansion has one of the largest populations of the rare species in the area.
Protesters also claim the chapel, which would have a 48ft round tower, would "blight the landscape".
