After a recent spell of wet and windy May weather, things look set to turn around this week.
Met Éireann is forecasting temperatures to rise to 25 degrees on Thursday with warm and sunny spells forecast for this week.
Here's the day-by-day:
Tuesday - Tomorrow will, ''start off mostly cloudy with a few spots of drizzle, but it will gradually brighten up with clear spells developing Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in Munster and Leinster''.
Wednesday - Will be dry in most areas, with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. ''With maximum temperatures of 19 to 23 or 24 Celsius, but 14 to 16 degrees in northern coastal areas''.
Thursday - Very warm and dry, with sunny intervals. Maximum temperatures 20 to 24 or 25 Celsius, but a little cooler on exposed eastern and southern coasts.
Friday - ''Many areas dry, with bright spells, but rain will develop in Connacht and west Munster later, with the possibility of some heavy, thundery bursts'', a Met Éireann forecaster said.
''Warm, with maximum temperatures of 17 to 23 Celsius, coolest in southern and eastern coastal areas''.
Weekend - Current indications look good for the bank holiday weekend so far.
It'll be ''warm and humid, with temperatures in the low to mid 20s inland, but in the high teens in Atlantic coastal areas''.
