Supermarket chain Aldi is launching a nationwide recruitment drive.
In a statement the company says it's to ensure levels of service are maintained throughout the very challenging time ahead.
In particular they want to hear from people in the retail, catering and hospitality sector who may have lost their jobs in recent days.
Details of the drive will be announced in the coming days.
Aldi’s John Curtin said: “We are very conscious of being able to provide opportunities to some of the very many people who have lost their livelihoods, hopefully temporarily, through no fault of their own”.
