Higher Education Minister Simon Harris has given a 'shout out' to Cavan on Twitter this morning.
He's congratulated the county for declaring today 'Cavan Day', saying it's a brilliant idea and a wonderful chance to celebrate the county.
He says he's now looking forward to a 'Wicklow Day' so that he can boast about the beauty of his county Wicklow, 'the Garden of Ireland'.
Happy inaugural #CavanDay to all of you from Cavan! Brilliant idea to have a day to celebrate your county. Looking forward to a Wicklow Day so I can boast about the beauty & greatness of the Garden of Ireland! But Cavan people, today is your day! Enjoy!? https://t.co/EATuVUaG1f
