Families of the victims of the Creeslough tragedy are calling for a memorial garden to be erected at the site of the explosion.

Ten people died in the incident in County Donegal back in October 2022.

Relatives of those who died expressed their disappointment at plans for the redevelopment of the site. This will see the petrol station and shop rebuilt.

Donna Harper lost her daughter Leona in the explosion. She said a petition has been set up calling for a memorial on the site.

She said: "In the petition there are over 1200 signatures plus comments from people all around Ireland.

"They're all saying the same thing, that the families need to be respected. And that it needs to be left as a memorial garden."
