What an amazing gesture!
In the wake of scenes of mass panic-buying around the country, one hotel has made an extremely generous offer to those people who may be vulnerable to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Hotel Doolin based in Clare is offering free dinners delivered to the doors of elderly and vulnerable people in the Doolin area who may be in need.
Writing on it's Facebook page, the hotel said:
''If you know of any elderly or vulnerable people in Doolin who may be unable or reluctant to venture out to supermarket or a restaurant please let them know that we'd be happy to call around to them with a dinner from Hotel Doolin.''
People were were clearly impressed by the hotel's generous offer:
''Incredible, well done on demonstrating such kindness. I have never visited this hotel before but my family and I certainly will before the end of the year based on this act, must be amazing staff and management there'', one person said.
''What an incredible thing to do for all those who are vulnerable. Well done Hotel Doolin. An inspiration to everyone in Ireland'', another added.
