AIB has released new research ahead of Black Friday.
As we count down to Black Friday this week, AIB has released a survey which shows that shoppers in Monaghan fork out the most money on clothes.
That compares to those in Tipperary who spend the most on jewellery while people in Sligo splash out on electrical goods. The survey also reveals what the most popular time for shopping online on Black Friday is - 10am apparently!
The figures are based on analysis of more than 1,000,000 debit card transactions by Irish consumers and shows in-store shopping peaks at 12pm and 4pm as people are on their lunch and finish work respectively. Meanwhile 69% of people say they would rather go shopping in real life compared to 31% of people prefer to browse online.
