Rory's Miles to Mayo needs your help!

Former Ulster, Ireland, British & Irish Lions Captain rugby captain, Rory Best, has taken on a big feat to raise money for a cancer charity.

Over the past nine days Rory has walked from Newcastle to Mayo, to raise money for Cancer Fund for Children.

Adam Watson age 8 from Banbridge helps former Ulster, Ireland, British & Irish Lions Captain Rory Best kick off his mammoth walk across Ireland for children with cancer.

The charity supports children and young people diagnosed with cancer, or living with a parent diagnosed with cancer.

Their award winning, ‘Daisy Lodge’ in Newcastle, Co. Down provides families with free short breaks.

And Rory Best is "walking a mile in their shoes" to raise vital funds so they can finish building a second centre in Cong in Co Mayo.

Right now, only 1 in 6 families who ask for help, can have their request accommodated.

The facility is based in the north, and families travel from all over Ireland for it.

That's why they're in need of another facility, so they can accommodate more families.

To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this September, Rory has taken this huge challenge on and helped raised over 400,000 euro

Rory's epic 180 miles has brought him from the Daisy Lodge in Co. Down to the site of Cancer Fund for Children’s new short break centre in Co. Mayo.

On his trip, Rory has been joined for short periods by families affected by cancer as well as the likes of Tommy Bowe, Jacob Stockdale, Tadhg Furlong, Rob Kearney, Robert Balacoune, Bundee Aki, Conor Murray and well-known tv chef and personality Neven Maguire.

Rory is aiming to raise a whopping €500,000 and needs your help to reach that goal.

This morning Rory chatted to Cooper and Kayte on the last day of his walk. Listen back below
