You may want to double check the weather forecast.

It's going to be a total mixed bag this June Bank Holiday weekend with both sunny spells and showers forecast. Here's how the next few days are shaping up, according to Met Eireann:

Friday

Expect rain and drizzle for a time this afternoon. However, it'll clear later this afternoon and some bright or sunny intervals will develop with highest temperatures of 20 degrees. Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells but mist patches will form under slack winds along with some hill and coastal fog. Lowest temperatures of 8 degrees are forecast.

Saturday

Saturday morning will start dry over much of Connacht and Ulster with bright or sunny spells. However much of Munster and Leinster will be cloudy with patchy rain and drizzle. The cloudy conditions and patchy rain will extend northwards in the afternoon and some limited bright or sunny intervals will develop over the southern half of Ireland. Bad news later in the day though as by evening time, a more persistent band of rain will develop along the west coast while Saturday night will be wet with rain in all areas.

Sunday

Rain will gradually give way to sunshine and showers in the morning and early afternoon. Some of the showers will be heavy but it will be less humid with highest temperatures of around 18 degrees.

Monday

Monday is expected to be cool with sunshine and showers Some of those will be heavy and possibly thundery during the afternoons with highest temperatures of around 16 degrees.
