Imagine if this was your office.

Want to soar above the clouds for a living?

If you've ever dreamed of a high flying career as a professional pilot, then you might want to get yourself to the pilot training information evening happening  soon.

Prospective pilots can get the inside word from respected industry professionals at the National Flight Centre, Pilot Academy, Weston Airport in Lucan on Thursday February 6th 2020, 7-9.30pm - and it's absolutely free.

Pilot training advisers, flight instructors, current airline pilots and students currently studying to become pilots will share their experience and advice on the skills and traits needed to become a successful pilot.

They'll discuss the different training routes available, airline recruitment plans and the current jobs market, potential career paths and what it’s really like to work as a First Officer and Captain will all be explored.

Speaking on the event Darragh Owens, Head of Training, National Flight Centre said, ''Do you have the personality and temperament suited to becoming a pilot? Do you have the right education qualifications? Would part-time or full-time intensive training suit you best? What does it feel like to fly solo for the first time?!

''We will answer these and lots of other questions. Attendees will be given a guided tour of our state-of-the-art training facility, including our flight simulators and the hangars to see our fleet of training aircraft. It’s a wonderful opportunity for those interested in embarking on a career in aviation to learn all about the industry.''

A330 Commander and Professional Career Coach, Conor Keeling will also be there on the night to share his advice on how to secure a dream job as an airline pilot, ''Completing your exams and getting your qualifications is part of the journey to securing a rewarding and exciting flying career. Developing your career strategy starts at the very beginning to develop you into a valuable and sought after pilot for your preferred airline.''

As the demand for air travel increases globally, there has never been a better time to embark on a career as a pilot.
