Football isn't coming home, the weather has broken and Donald Trump has landed... it's not been a great 24 hours for the U.K.

1.England are out of the World Cup following a gruelling 2-1 defeat to a heroic Croatia last night.

In an instant, England's dream of bringing football home was dashed by Mario Mandzukic's superb strike.

However, fans are finding comfort in bitterweet moments today, such as this viral photo of their manager Gareth Southgate embracing his wife        following the heartbreaking loss.

 

2. Is the heatwave over?

Thunderstorms are set to break the U.K's spell of glorious sunshine and large parts of England and Wales are likely to face heavy showers. The prospect of flooding is also being predicted.

3. Trump has landed

Potentially taking the cake as the worst of them all, (you can make your own mind up on that), U.S President Donald Trump has landed, completing the hatrick of sh*tness for our neighbours.

He arrived alongside First Lady of the US and Wife, Melania Trump, on Air Force One at Stansted Airport in Essex
