Handy if you're always dropping yours.

Apple is working on making a foldable phone.

New patents reveal that future iPhones could be hinged in the middle, allowing it to be folded up small and then opened again.

The patents, as reported in The Independent, show that the phone could use a set of hinges that will mount flexible displays together, allowing them to bend. The iPhone could be twisted around.

However, they won't be releasing the new bendy models anytime soon.

The new iPhones it is set to release in September will have the same form as the existing phones.

It's not the only phone company looking into the new model.

Samsung have already revealed their plans for the "Galaxy X" - a smartphone that turns into a tablet when you need a larger screen.
