Demonstrators took to the streets in Belfast over the weekend calling for same sex marriage legislation in the North.

Northern Ireland is the only part of the U.K where same sex marriage is still banned.

Queens University student, Ciara Cinnamond, unfurled a rainbow flag during her graduation ceremony, on the same day as the protest.

Ciara has been praised for raising awareness and for making a statement during the ceremony.
