The changes will come into effect as of Monday

Ryanair has announced that its passengers will no longer be able to board it's planes with two separate carry on bags - unless they pay €5 to become a priority boarding customer.

Those travelling with a second larger bag will now have to place it in the on hold section at the boarding gate, free of charge.

One carry on bag will still be permitted for non-priority passengers.

The budget Airline says the changes are part of it's “Always Getting Better” program, and expect the new regulations to help prevent flight delays while also freeing up overhead cabin space.

“This will speed up the boarding of flights and eliminate flight delays, alongside our new checked bag policy which offers our customers lower bag fees for a 33% increase in their checked bag allowance,” Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said.

Hey, anything that keeps planes running on time and stops people from crowding the isles sounds good to us!
