It's okay, you can get excited.. you have good reason to!

It's been a long time coming, but finally, it looks like Irish summer is on the way.

And, we're not just talking cloud and single digit temperature...we're talking 21 degreees!

Met Éireann are predicting a decent Bank Holiday weekend weather wise, kicking off on with a mild, cloudy Friday. Now, there is some risk of showers in coastal areas, with the best sunshine breaks due to grace Leinster and Munster. Temperatures should reach 17 degrees.

Stick with us, it gets better, promise...

Saturday will be a brighter day with sunny spells. There may be a few cloudier periods with the risk of a little drizzle - we can handle that. Tempratures will range between 13 and 16 degrees.

The National Forecaster also says "Sunday will be dry with good sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, It will be warmest in the midlands and Connacht and coolest on east and north coasts with light to moderate north to northeast breezes."

Wait for it....

Highs of 19 degrees are also expected on Bank Holiday Monday... with 21 degrees due on Tuesday! Woohoo!
